Virtual Superpowers Encourage Real-World Altruism

Researchers at Stanford’s Virtual Human Interaction Laboratory gave test subjects Superman-like flight in a virtual reality simulator. Afterward, the participants were more likely to engage in altruistic behavior. The finding could help design video games that subliminally encourage people to be more helpful in real life.
