Walgreens drugstores will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day serving 11th-hour shoppers and taking care of thousands of people with urgent medical needs. In addition, more than 1,600 Walgreens stores and pharmacies continue to be open 24 hours throughout the holidays.
Non-24-hour Walgreens stores will be open until midnight through Dec. 23, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Eve and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Day. Pharmacies in non-24-hour stores will serve patients from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas Day, except at select locations. Take Care Health Clinics located in select Walgreens pharmacies will be open from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Certified family nurse practitioners and physician assistants can treat patients 18 months and older for common illnesses such as flu, strep throat, ear and sinus infections, pink eye and poison ivy.
