“Pursuant to the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 (MMA), certain vaccines administered in a physician’s office that were formerly covered under Medicare Part B are now covered by Medicare Part D,” states Richard A. Most physicians do not have the ability to process pharmacy claims, nor do most health and prescription drug plans contract directly with physicians. “The POC Management Group Physician Network is currently contracted with plans that cover approximately 50% of Medicare Part D beneficiaries and is rapidly growing.
